Wearside Bridge Club
Wearside Bridge Club was founded in 1949 and currently has over 70 members. The Club has its own premises in Sunderland at 17 Park Place West and is open 5 days a week for Duplicate Bridge sessions.
Wearside Bridge Club was founded in 1949 and moved to the present premises in the late 1950s. The members owe a debt of gratitude to the original Trustees who bought the premises and passed ownership to the members.
Bridge is a great game to meet new friends and has proven benefits on players' health and wellbeing.
Lessons are provided for beginners.
Bridge is suitable for people of all ages, genders and backgrounds and can be played socially or competitively.
The club is a member of the English Bridge Union (EBU). This is the national organising body for overseeing bridge in England.
The club is a registered charity.
The club provides free tea/coffee and a licensed bar is also available
Members are automatically enrolled in the EBU which provides a free quarterly magazine for players.
Lessons on mornings throughout the year. Evening lessons may also be available at various times in the year.
Monday-Wednesday 7-10 pm and online on Thursday 7.00- 10.00 pm
Friday 1-4 pm
Saturday 6.30-9.00 pm
Open all year except over Christmas/New Year
