Art Road Trip

We are working in partnership with The National Gallery on bringing their travelling art studio programme, Art Road Trip - a programme of activities and events that celebrate creativity and the arts to Sunderland and South Tyneside 13th - 24th November. To find out more please click on this link https://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/exhibitions/across-the-uk/art-road-trip

What will the bus tour involve?

In each location, the National Gallery education team will create events that match the needs of the community and/or schools that champion the creativity of people with the least access to creative opportunities and the arts. The mobile art studio will host  a series of creative workshops tailored to the age and needs  of the participants to bring art and ideas inspired by the National Gallery Collection to the heart of their communities (see below image of the bus). We have got closed  and open sessions at Grace House, Grindon Church Community Project, Washington Millennium Centre, Seventeen Nineteen and Box Youth Project.
