Mushroom Tales

This Earth Day, come and visit our LIVING sculpture made out of mycelium - and help tell a new story about the things you love about your world!

Led by Olly from Threads in the Ground, in this family workshop you will learn about the magical powers of mushrooms to build, make art, feed people, and support the planet - and then you will work together to write (and illustrate!) a story on the windows of the Expo Pavilion.

11am-12noon and 12.30pm-1.30pm, Tues 22 April at Expo Sunderland Pavilion, Keel Square

The activity is part of Culture House Sunderland's pre-opening programme, working with communities across Sunderland and beyond in the run up to the venue's opening in autumn 2025. This project is funded by the UK Government as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
