Hillthorn Business Park

Hillthorn Business Park in Washington will see a new industrial site created for the region, backed by a £60 million investment from Legal & General. The two-phased development plan will see 620,000 sq ft of industrial space developed and transformed, with over nine commercial buildings that can be utilised for a range of commercial opportunities.

This exciting development, located a short distance from Sunderland city centre has the potential to create 1,600 new jobs. Hillthorn Business Park is a designated Enterprise Zone. 

Its opening is expected to attract talent from across the UK and beyond, as well as business and investment for a selection of industries, facilitating Sunderland's pledge to become a connected smart city, and a centre for excellence across a wide range of sectors.
