Jubilee Art Competition

Get your arts and crafts box ready; Sunderland Bid are having an Art competition to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee! Check out the news here https://bit.ly/3FewPmh

This occasion marks Queen Elizabeth II's 70 years on the throne, so we are asking you to create a piece of art representing this, which can fit on an A4 piece of paper. Entrants have a chance to be part of an art exhibition at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens and Pigment & Toil Art Gallery called "Queen Elizabeth II From All Angles."

How to enter -

Everyone, everywhere in Sunderland, can enter. Create your art piece, photograph it, and email it to info@sunderlandbid.co.uk with "Queen Elizabeth II From All Angles" as the subject.

Alternatively, You can drop your piece off at Pigment & Toil Art Gallery in The Bridges Shopping Centre or post it to:

Prizes -

Each age category winner will feature in the Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens and Pigment & Toil Art Gallery as part of a special exhibition, and you will get your prints back to keep. Winners will need to drop off their original artwork in Sunderland to enable us to get ready for the exhibition.

Plus winning images will also be shown in Mowbray park on the big screens on Sunday 5 June at Sunderland's Big Jubilee Lunch feature on the BID social headers and dedicated winners gallery.

The age categories are:

0 - 4 years old

5 - 9 years old

10 - 13 years old

14 - 16 years old

16 - 18 years old

19+

The exhibition will be launched on Friday 27 May ready for the School Holidays.

T&CS apply. The competition ends on Monday 16 May at 5 pm. Winners will be contacted directly and announced on the Sunderland Experience Facebook page on Friday, 20 May.
