A Walk in the Park Art Competition
Let your imagination take flight and help us to design a mural for the Mowbray Park Community Garden cabin!
Draw or paint your favourite garden bird in the frame provided and tell us why it is your favourite. You could choose birds you love to watch in Mowbray Park like pigeons, herring gulls and moorhens or garden birds like blackbirds, blue-tits and robins!
Pick up a paper copy of the competition at the Museum Reception, download a copy of the competition sheet or submit your entry online.
A selection of winning entries in each age category will be chosen by a panel of guest judges and then used as inspiration for a beautiful mural display created by Sunderland artist Mike Clay.
Competition age categories are: 4 - 7s, 8 - 11s, 12 - 16s and 17+.
You can pick up a competition sheet and submit your entry at the Museum & Winter Gardens reception desk or download the competition sheet in advance.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Monday 10 February.
The winners will be revealed at the Big Garden Birdwatch event in the Community Garden on Saturday 25 January and by e-mail.
