Active Sunderland BIG Bike Ride

Join us on Sunday 12 July and take the family on a 5 mile led ride, attempt a 12-mile adventure with friends, stretch your legs on the 20-miler or challenge yourself to the 38-mile route (approx route distances).

After setting off from Beacon of Light (next to the Stadium of Light) you will cycle through a mixture of city roads and woodland paths before heading for the euphoria of crossing the finish line having completed one epic ride!

Our rides are fully supported with clearly signed routes, marshals, first aid cover, bike mechanics and pick-up vehicles.

All participants must wear a suitable helmet for the duration of the ride regardless of experience and ability. 

Helmets will be available to loan on the day if you do not have one.
