Join us at Herrington Country Park on Sunday 22 September for the ever-popular Active Sunderland BIG Walk.

Whether you're taking your first steps to moving more, a fun activity with the family or looking to step up to a personal challenge, we have a route that's right for you. You could even think about walking to raise money for your favourite cause!

3 mile circular route around Herrington Country Park accompanied by fun activities and characters - perfect for families and young children
NEW 5.5 mile route especially for beginners
7.5 mile route 
9.5 mile route
NEW 13.5 mile route for experience walkers to challenge themselves and maybe even set a personal best

2024 entry prices

·       £10 per adult or £7 if you do not want a T-shirt and £5 for under 18s

·       3 mile route - £5 per person

·       Under 2s go free (applies to ANY route)

·       Group offer -  £15 for 3 people (1 adult and 2 children)
                                £20 for 4 people, maximum of 2 adults (applies to ANY route)
