What is a busking spot?

Busking is a brilliant way of ensuring out city centre is a vibrant place where everyone can enjoy.

It is important that a happy-medium is found between the needs of buskers and those of local businesses and residents.

Busking does not require a licence and is welcome on public land, but, as with all use of public space, there is the expectation that everyone will act reasonably in sharing the space with shoppers, residents, business and other buskers.

This is why our all-new 'Busk 'til Dusk' designated spots have been identified at prime busking locations around the City Centre.

These spots are available for anyone to use, once at a time, for up to one hour.
