Pride in the City concert

Get ready to party Sunderland as we bring you the biggest, free pride concert ever!

Headlining our main stage this year, which is sponsored by our friends at EDF and Sunderland AFC, is international boyband, East 17.

East 17 have had 18 top 20 singles in the UK as well as four top 10 albums and sold a whopping 18million albums worldwide. Their hits include It's Alright, House of Love, Let it Rain and their huge Christmas number one, Stay Another Day.

Joining them is adopted North East drag superstar Choriza May, live from her hit run on RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs The World. Choriza will be bringing her Big Drag Energy to our stage and hopefully lots of Spanish sun!

Union J's, Jaymie Hensley, completes the headline line-up with support from high energy diva, Kelly Wilde, Future is Queer, DJ Michael Maddison, and Drag from the Bobby Dazzlers and The Closet Club. It's hosted by Pride Radio's Ophelia Balls and pride ambassador and international club diva, Soraya Vivian who will also be taking to stage to belt out the hits.

It's going to be a fabulous concert with food and bar vendors, market stalls and more. And, it's all free!
