From Friday 22 to Sunday 24 May 2026, Sunderland's Herrington Park will host one of the UK's biggest live music events as BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend returns to the city.
Expect around 100 acts performing across the weekend including some of the biggest names in music alongside exciting new and emerging artists, performing to an audience of 90,000 fans making this an unforgettable start to the UK's festival season.
Sunderland last hosted BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in 2005, and its return in 2026 promises to be bigger than ever.
