Active Sunderland Family Fun

Our Family Fun sessions are a great way to keep the whole family active and having fun together this summer. 

You can expect lots of different activities from rugby, football, basketball, clubbercise, dodgeball, traditional playground games, early years activities, swing ball and much much more.  

Join us this summer across the city for our Family Fun on the following dates:

Thursday 7 August 10-4pm - Silksworth Sports Complex 

Thursday 14 August 10-3pm - Princess Anne Park

Thursday 21 August 10-3pm - Mowbray Park

Thursday 7 August 10-4pm at Silksworth Sports Complex

We have teamed up with Everyone Active for our first Family Fun of the summer at Silksworth Sports Complex. 

Head down to the running track where you'll find:

• CrossFit
• Boxercise 
• HIIT training
• Rugby with Vigor.Rugby 
• Clubbersise
• ParkPlay
• Football
• Cheerleading with AAA Sports 
• Family led walks
• Smoothie bike

• Family Fit 4 Fun
  Fun games and activities which include dodgeball, handball, tennis, early years play and free play (swingballs/hula hoops/balance beams)

As well as all of this you can also head up to the Sports Complex and try your hand at snow tubing* or skiing*, before making your way down to Silksworth Community Pool, Tennis and Wellness Centre for a swim*, a game of tennis or golf! 

*Please note these activities require pre booking and there is a charge. Contact Silksworth Community Pool, Tennis and Wellness Centre or check your Everyone Active app to book.

Join us in Princess Anne Park and Mowbray Park for our jam packed Family Fun sessions. There is something for everyone to get involved with no matter your age or ability. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to come wearing their trainers and be ready to have some family fun! All activities can be tailored and adapted to your ability and you may just find your new hobby.
