Kids Go Free on the Bus: Summer Edition!

Kids across the North East will get free travel for the school holidays.

Kids Go Free will cover the area of the North East Combined Authority - County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, and Sunderland between Saturday 19 July until Sunday 31 August 2025.

Roker gets ready for a free day of music, art and community activities

Residents are being invited to Roker on Saturday 19 July for a Back to the Bandstand event and the first of three Sunderland Art Festivals.

Pop sensation Anne-Marie to perform at Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 Opening Show presented by O2

World Rugby and O2 today announce that global pop superstar, Anne-Marie, will play the Opening Show presented by O2 during the first match of Women's Rugby World Cup 2025, at Sunderland's Stadium of Light on Friday 22 August, where England will take on USA.
