Seafront

Sunderland's seafront is not just a beauty spot - there's also plenty of great business opportunities to be found.

The coastal resorts of Seaburn and Roker are seeing the waves of change that are transforming the city's coastline as a vibrant place to work - the best part is that it's only a few miles away from our city centre, too!

A bustling area that sees thousands of visitors each year, from tourists to local residents, Roker is peppered with beautiful cafes, restaurants and a lovely park where families can come to play and spend time together. The successful regeneration of Pier Point has contributed to this, making Roker a great place to live, work and play.

Meanwhile, to the north, Seaburn is also growing in popularity. STACK Seaburn is the latest addition to Seaburn's landscape and is a stylish new venue and social hub. Built from old shipping containers, STACK Seaburn sees live entertainment, street food and drinks served up from an exclusive number of local independent bars and restaurants.

Many of the seaside's old heritage buildings that have roots in Sunderland's industrial past have also now been brought back to use, with new eateries that bring further excitement and culture to this traditional seafront setting.

With workspaces that would be ideal for businesses looking to set up in leisure, retail and hospitality, Sunderland's seafront is also located close to many new housing developments. These new homes are the cherry on the cake when it comes to transforming this stunning seaside region.

Boasting miles of Blue Flag beaches that are perfect for attracting sports-lovers - ranging from surfers to swimmers - it's a fantastic place to invest all year round.
